The piano sound is sampled from the Yamaha Full Concert Grand Piano " CFIIIS" , which has won high plaudits at the world' s most famous concert halls and music competitions. A very top piano was selected, and an experienced tuner adjusted it to top condition. Sampling is carefully performed over a long period, from the start of the sound until fade-out, to reproduce a natural sound and attenuation that feels nothing like an electronic piano. In addition, they also focus on the change in timbre due to the strength or weakness of the key strike that is so characteristic of pianos. Sound sampling covered more than 10 stages of key strike strength for each keyboard. Though rigorous recording, " AWM Dynamic Stereo Sampling" is used to create sounds that closely express the piano characteristics. The Yamaha development team spent a lot of time together with pianists in thorough pursuit of the optimum touch and timbre combination. This has resulted in the achievement of natural sound changes that sound like a person is actually playing a grand piano, no matter how the keyboard is played.
Half-pedal response that widens the range of expression
Yamaha places great focus on the expressive power of pedalling. Three stable pedals are mounted, including the damper, the soft pedal, and sostenuto. The damper pedal offers a half-pedal response and can handle micro-adjustments, depending on how hard the pedal is pressed.

Filled with all the convenient functions expected of a digital piano
Because it' s a digital piano with no need for tuning, the YDP-141 is maintenance-free. It also comes with two headphone terminals to enable practice without worrying about disturbing others. Also included are a metronome ( essential for practicing) , and transpose function.
